This scanner will provide details about the transmission power, carrier, the subscriber type, and license type of a certain area.

There is another type of two-ways, that is known as the Automatic Identification System or AIS. It works with the use of computers that are specifically meant to process voice communication in the form of data. With the help of this equipment, the operator can receive and process information such as name, address, service status, and other relevant data of a certain person.

Some two-ways operate through a dedicated channel. There is no interference of the frequency by other channels. This makes these radios perfect for two-way communications where there is no chance of being interrupted. There are two main frequency channels, namely, 17 OHM and 120 MHZ, which are dedicated to commercial and residential markets.
